Research & Expertise:

Dr. Antonucci studies social relations and health across the lifespan, including multigenerational studies of the family and comparative studies of social relations across the life span in the United States, Europe, Germany and Japan. Gender and race/ethnic differences in social relations are an important focus of her work.

Dr. Antonucci served on American Psychological Association (APA) Committee on Aging and co-chaired then on the APA Presidential Task Force on Integrated Health Care for an Aging Population. She now serves in various leadership positions focused on aging in APA’s Division 20: Adult Development and Aging. She is currently collecting a second wave of data on the Social Relations and Health across the Life Span study.
